Shadow Soul Effect
- Kain has twice the base Health of other Shadow Souls. He gains 1 stack of Heat for each enemy hit by his attacks, lasting 5 seconds (up to 20 stacks).
- Each Heat stack grants:
- +5% Attack Speed
- +5% Elemental Resistances and Armor (disabled in PvP)
How To Obtain?
- Craft with new recipe “Ember Knight Kain”, obtainable from the progress bar
- The recipe needs 100x Ember Knight Kain’s Echo Shards
- Ember Knight Kain’s Echo Shards can be obtainable via:
- Progress bar rewards: total x20 for Lvl. 100 players without 5000 points; x30 for Lvl. 100 players with 5000 points
- Available in shop for 2.999 Andermant each
This season introduces the brand-new Reignited Ember Shadow Soul Set, themed around the scorching fury of Kain.

Set Bonuses(the same for all 4 classes):
- 2/3 → Overheated: once Kain reaches 20 Heat stacks, his attacks become area attacks with a 4m radius.
- 3/3 → Smolder & Smoldering Collapse:
- Kain’s attacks apply Smolder to enemies for 5s (up to 10 stacks) – each stack makes that enemy take +15% more damage from your skills.
- At 10 stacks, the enemy enters Smoldering Collapse for 6s: damage it takes from your skills is increased to +250%, all Smolder stacks are consumed, and Smolder can’t be reapplied while it lasts.
How To Obtain?
- Crafting: craft each set piece through the new Reignited Ember recipe, and each piece costs 2000x Heart of Lava.
- Heart of Lava drops from Portal bosses (the portal appears after defeating the altar bosses in Circum Monstrorum; those bosses can be accessed directly with their respective Travel Ration):
- Grimmag, Khalys, Herald, Sigrismarr, Gorga, Destructor, Balor, Djinn, Dragan, Gwenfara
- You can boost the drop rate with Lava Essence elixirs, new pet, and Event Attire:
- The Lava Essence elixirs grant a 200%/500% additional drop rate of Heart of Lava for 1 hour
- The Event Attire has a new bonus effect: 100% additional drop rate of Heart of Lava
- The new pet grants an 80% additional drop rate of Heart of Lava
- Heart of Lava can also be obtained from progress bars and from Stellan Caprice’s offer.
